My first sailboat, 1998 Capri 14.2. Have lots of questions.

First two questions:

1. What do you call the part that fixes the boom to the mast and where can I get it? It is broken It's the one suppose to be fixed on the mast.

2. What should I use to clean the sails, they are dirty and the jib window is yellow colored?

the Gooseneck is the fitting that secures the boom to the mast.
For cleaning sails I have used OxiClean.

But I have not been able to get rust stains out. On the window you might try mirror glaze.

Don't forget to check with Catalina for parts and sails. They are the best at customer service. They will answer questions and even send you information you need.
